The advancement of scientific thought and technology has caused life changes in society, in this sense, it is necessary to optimize the teaching of science. Studies show that teaching strategies are not relevant in their application. The objective of the research was to determine the level of stimulation in the application of didactic strategies in the competence of scientific inquiry at the initial level. The study was of a quantitative approach, of the applied type, with a pre-experimental design, applying a 14-session pedagogical intervention program, monitored through synchronous classes by the zoom platform, carried out in a sample of 15 students. The results showed improvements in the consolidation of science learning. In conclusion, the application of didactic strategies stimulates the competence of scientific inquiry in children of the initial level.
