Nowadays, the world dynamics requires professionals to master several languages, being English one of the most valued in business and/or education. Based on this, most universities teach this subject in order to ensure the acquisition of skills required in the modern world. Based on this premise, the study delved into the use of digital tools and their specific benefits in English language learning framed in higher education, developing a systematic review methodology. As a result of the search it was evidenced through 14 scientific articles published in high impact journals that digital tools favor learning thus helping the development of oral skills, writing and listening comprehension, concluding that there are methodologies that can be used by integrating digital tools to improve learning levels in English for students in higher education.
