ICT have transformed education, changing pedagogical paradigms, methodologies, tools and techniques. This, added to the COVID-19 pandemic, generated the need to opt for virtual learning environments and agile methodologies such as U-learning. The present research analyzes how important both have been to continue teaching, even in times of health emergency. The systematic review method supported by the PRISMA report was used, the results included 22 studies from databases such as Dialnet, Scielo, JStore and the RENATI repository. Thus, it was found that the majority of studies are linked to 3 thematic axes: the importance of Virtual Learning Environments, the effectiveness of ubiquitous learning within VLEs during the COVID-19 health emergency and the emergence and importance of U-learning. It was concluded that, indeed, both VLEs and U-learning contributed to the continuity of the educational process in non-face-to-face environments.
