The implementation of remittance or distance classes due to the pandemic originated by COVID-19, required teachers to try ways to transfer the face-to-face system to this new modality so that students could develop skills such as critical thinking. The objective of this research was to verify the influence of collaborative learning for the improvement of critical thinking in high school students. The methodology was quantitative, applied, with a quasi-experimental design, applying a program "Analysis and interpretation of texts" in twelve sessions, monitored through synchronous classes by Google meet, to a control group and an experimental group of 30 students each. The results showed improvements in learning achievements in the experimental group.
