Abstract

HURTADO ESPINOSA, Cynthia Lizette; NUNEZ FLORES, María Isabel  and  RAMIREZ VILLACORTA, Yolanda. Changes in the lifestyle habits of Graphic Design students in times of pandemic COVID-19. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.25, pp.1615-1626.  Epub Sep 27, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i25.440.

The research was proposed with the objective of comparing life habits in the dimensions of study habits, leisure, thinking and expectations about the professional future in 270 Graphic Design students of a public university, at two moments before and after the pandemic, since these dimensions help to define their profile. A cross-sectional descriptive design was applied through face-to-face surveys in 2019 and virtual surveys in 2021 The results indicate that there is a great similarity between first and last semester students, although differences are present regarding the dimension’s expectations of professional future and thinking habits. The conclusions lead to orienting new educational strategies from the teaching and learning process, as well as academic tutoring, that propitiate in students a better adaptation to the challenges of the present.
