ALFARO SAAVEDRA, Maura Natalia et al. Virtual teaching and the development of research competences. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.25, pp.1477-1486.  Epub Sep 16, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i25.428.

As of the first week of March 2020, virtual education is one of the modalities that has been assumed as a matter of urgency in the teaching and learning process. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between virtual education and the development of research skills in students of a public university in Metropolitan Lima. The study had a quantitative approach, hypothetical-deductive method, non-experimental, basic type. The population consisted of 328 and a sample of 176 university students, the latter was determined through stratified probability sampling and a reliable survey instrument was applied to collect the information. Finally, there is a low inverse correlation (- 0.076) which indicates that students are not able to develop research skills despite having virtual tools equipped by those responsible for the institution.
