Pedagogical strategies refer to the methodology or resources used by teachers to facilitate learning and understanding of students regarding a specific topic, for the purposes of this research focus on all those strategies used in the classroom and that have a positive effect on reading comprehension, since the importance of the development of reading comprehension skills at different educational levels of the student is closely related to the learning of knowledge and the proper development in the student's life. The purpose of this article is to identify the impact of pedagogical strategies on the reading comprehension skills of students at different educational levels, based on a literature review of the academic production on these variables. The methodology used for the literature review was to conduct a systematic search of articles published in journals indexed in different databases such as Scopus, Scielo, Ebsco, among others, selecting articles related to the topic of study, no older than ten years, in English or Spanish. The analysis of the 30 selected articles showed that teaching strategies do have a positive effect on the acquisition and/or improvement of reading comprehension skills, which is related to the student's academic performance in other subjects or courses.
