The present research entitled Heteronomous and Autonomous Morality: Ethical Posture of University Students Faced with Citizen Transgression aims to determine the relationship between heteronomous morality and autonomous morality as an ethical posture in students of Philosophy, Psychology, and Social Sciences of the National University of Trujillo in the face of tolerance of everyday practices of Citizen transgression. The type of research was basic correlational, non-experimental, with a sample of 82 students from the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th cycles of the 2021-1 semester, to whom a survey with nested responses was applied. Autonomous morality was operationalized through attitudes of universality and consistency; heteronomous morality was operationalized through subordinate attitudes. Concluding that the dimension of universality which is above consistency is presented as the dominant argument for the accentuation of autonomous morality.
