DESTRE, Patricia Carbajal et al. Gamification as a Motivation Technique at the Higher Level. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.23, pp.484-496.  Epub May 28, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i23.351.

In the information age where students are digital natives, traditional methodologies no longer have the same effect, which is why gamification as a motivation technique is being used in university education to achieve specific learning, motivation and sustainability objectives. In this sense, the following bibliographical research aimed to describe gamification as a motivational technique for the higher level in the studies carried out between the period 2012 to 2022. The selection criteria were that the articles be from 2012 to 2022, that they be from the English, Portuguese and Spanish language and that are related to the topic. For this purpose, 50 articles were reviewed and 37 articles were selected that were extracted from the Scielo, Dialnet, Emerald, Semanticscholar, Google Scholar and university journals at the national and international level. As for the results obtained, it can be verified that gamification is a powerful motivational tool for learning. In such a way that the conclusion was that gamification is a motivational technique at the higher level where the student learns in a fun way, feeling that he is gratified by her contributions, without detriment to his grades.
