Currently, people are required to become specialized actors in access to information, and the need to acquire skills in information literacy is imperative. The article aims to know the information literacy level of the students of an art school. The methodology assumes a non-experimental design, develops a type of descriptive and cross-sectional field research. The population was made up of students enrolled in the first semester of the "Ignacio Merino" Art School in Piura, Peru, and the sample made up of 69 students. The results show a regular level of information literacy in 100% of the students of an art school, with 24% being male students who report more difficulty in accessing, using and evaluating information than in the female students.
