Resumo

The study allowed to determine the efficiency of the ideo-visual method to improve the learning of spelling in students of primary education of the Public Educational Institution María Auxiliadora and the Private Educational Institution Santa Catalina of the city of Juliaca, 2020. The synthetic analytical method was applied, of an applicative type, and an experimental design of longitudinal and prospective cut; with a sample of 90 students for the experimental group and for the control group, the written test was applied as an instrument. The results indicate that 44.4% of students obtained grades of 07 to 10 points, decreasing to 4.4%, 2.2% of students had grades of 17 to 20 points, increasing to 26.7%, after the application of the ideo-visual method to the experimental group. Concluding that the ideo-visual method significantly improves the orthographic learning, raising significantly the students' grades in the school year 2020.
