The study aimed to know the levels of learning in second grade of primary school, period 2013 - 2016, compared to census evaluations. The research was basic, quantitative, descriptive-comparative approach, non-experimental design. The estimated population was 22,164 students from the 2nd grade of IE in Ventanilla, between the years 2013 and 2016. The reports of the census evaluations extracted from SICRECE were analyzed. For reliability, the calculation of internal consistency was used. The data collection and analysis was in the months of May and June. From the results it was possible to conclude that there were improvements in learning reflected in the census evaluations. In reading, positive achievements were obtained, but these improvements were not enough; a difference was reflected between general learning according to sex, since it was the women who achieved the best results; for the area of mathematics, men obtained better levels of expected achievement.
