The increasing use of the Internet and ICT in all contexts in which human beings develop, in times of the Covid 19 pandemic, has projected a number of concerns in the core of society. The present research aimed to analyze the integration of ICT in the family context and the form of communication, identifying the technological equipment of university students and the relationship between family members with respect to the generation of digital eras. The research approach was quantitative and non-experimental, exploratory, cross-sectional and descriptive methodology. The results revealed the forms of communication of the students with their parents, determining the generations of the digital age and the topics of greatest interest in the family nucleus. It was concluded that the incorporation of technology in reference to communication is not ensured by its mere presence, rather it is subject to the use made by the members of the family nucleus according to the digital generations to which they belong.
