The process of teaching and learning a foreign language rests fundamentally on the teaching method used. One of the most effective methodologies is the CLIL approach. The aim of this article is to describe the knowledge domain that is articulated around the CLIL methodology. For this purpose, information metric studies were used as a methodological framework. A set of productivity, collaboration and impact indicators were applied. The analysis was performed on a corpus of research obtained from the Dimensions database. The results obtained offer a set of relationships and structures that describe the particularities of the research carried out on CLIL methodology. Among the conclusions presented, it is stated that research related to CLIL methodology has become a trend, since 2015 to date it is possible to note a good scientific production around these issues.
