The present study is an exercise in theoretical reflection, framed within the documentary investigation, and whose main objective is to analyze the evaluation of learning in face-to-face and virtual settings, where educational processes are staged today. The method used is the critical analysis that comes from the necessary discernment that is carried out. The scope of the research is to discuss and review the theoretical possibilities of educational activities and the evaluation of student achievement. Some important conclusions: 1) The educational processes in the face-to-face-virtual dichotomy, is a reality that impacts, the evaluation processes, based on the results and evidence shown by the students, 2) the use of technological tools, is constituted in an innovative and versatile possibility for evaluating learning in virtual educational settings.
