Abstract

The objective of the present research was to know how video games influence interpersonal relationships between students, it was hypothesized, video games directly influence interpersonal relationships between students. The type of research is basic theoretical, corresponds to the cross-sectional, causal explanatory research design, corresponds to the quantitative approach, the method used was the hypothetical deductive sample consisting of 60 students who access internet booths. For the collection of information, the survey technique and the questionnaire instrument were used, which was structured according to the variables and dimensions of the research. The processing of the results was obtained by the SPSS program. As a conclusion, it was shown that there is a direct influence between video games and interpersonal relationships between students, due to the frequent use of video games that generates aggressive communication between classmates and a coexistence of violence and inappropriate behaviors.
