The article is the result of an investigation on the inefficiency in the institutional management of the Bolivian university system. An analysis of the management process is presented, based on the systematization of epistemological foundations that allowed the development of its own model of university management. The study deals with the antecedents of the processes of Administration, Management, academic and economic Organization; and its dimensions, variables and indicators are specified. The research methods developed are: dialectical-complex, through the Theory of Conscious Processes of Dr. Cs. Carlos M. Álvarez de Zayas. The research is current and pertinent, and responds to the challenges of University Management; proposes a management model, aimed at achieving effectiveness in said Institutions, in accordance with the reality of Bolivian society and the need to train competent professionals, faced with the demand for integration and globalization.
