Abstract This research analyzes test anxiety and study habits in young people (N = 179) who study university technology studies in a particular institution in the city of Quito-Ecuador. The instigation model used was quantitative and with a descriptive and correlational design. The instruments used were the "Study Habits and Motivation for Learning Questionnaire" and the "Test Anxiety Questionnaire". The results show that study habits are poor, particularly the search for information, test anxiety is at low levéis and there is a negative correlation between study habits and test anxiety. It is concluded that it is necessary to incorpórate intervention programs to improve study habits and that those who maintain an adequate study routine report lower levéis of anxiety when taking an evaluation.
