HERNANDEZ CORONA, Alfredo; PENA PEREZ, Benjamín; PINTLE DIAZ, Brenda Abigail y MORALES CHAVEZ, Germán. Format and contení criteria in peer review of academic texts with university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2020, vol.4, n.16, pp.365-380. ISSN 2616-7964.
Abstract The skills are conceptualized as achievements derived from the fulfillment of academic criteria, among which a differentiation can be made between those referred to the format of the text (spelling, citation rules, etc.) and those related to the content of the text (make synthesis, exemplify or illustrate events and argüe). Effects were evaluated of using a rubric in the peer review procedure over the fulfillment of format and content criteria in writing tasks. Participants were 20 psychology students, who throughout 20 sessions, sent texts that were exchanged with peer reviewers of the same group. The results indícate differences in the fulfillment of both types of criteria, being more evident the changes in the content criteria. The findings of this study are discussed in terms of the usefulness of peer review and of the "final works" that are requested in psychology courses.
