Abstract The purpose of this article is to show the strengthening of the tourist sector of the Sucre destination in the province of Manabí in Ecuador, through the training axes of the academy, which is based on the perception and support of higher education institutions that They are located in the área, which are the basis for the operation of companies in the tourism sector: hotel and hospitality, tourism, administration, accounting, marketing. The study was framed in a documentary review; to collect the information, a questionnaire was made using the survey technique. Through the final discussion, it was possible to determine the importance of sustainable tourism development to maintain income within the community, having as a starting point the services that are offered, and thereby ensuring that each professional develops and can be maintained, since this will improve the living conditions of its inhabitants.
