Abstract Using the reading corner, allows children to develop language through meaningful learning, using a variety of activities that motívate children to read. The research carried out on 102 primary and elementary teachers of Zonal 5 -Ecuador, showed that they are not applying several strategies in this learning environment, they only perform storytelling, when there are several activities that can be done as: exchange of readers, sponsorship, craft projects, which motívate children to become interested in reading and creativity. It is necessary that the teachers also plan for the use of the classroom library, making an itinerary where the work wll be evidenced by partial of each of the activities that they can carry out with their group of students.
