Dairy production in the Píllaro canton is one of the main economic activities, small producers have not been able to promote and strengthen the productive chain, which allows generating added value to their products and sustainability. The general objective of this research was to base the productive chains in the dairy sector of the Píllaro canton to improve sustainability within the framework of SDG 12. The deficient modernization of livestock has caused a low quality of life in the population, since, the The vast majority of families do not have technical knowledge in the production process. The methodology used had a qualitative approach, of a documentary-bibliographic nature; The research instrument was the review of primary sources in research, official documents related to the dairy sector that has sought the sustainable and sustainable development of milk, it was articulated with the United Nations SDGs, with the United Nations Program for Development, and Objectives 5-6 of the National Plan for a lifetime. The SDGs must be integrated and balanced.
