Abstract The main purpose of this article is to reflect on the epistemological bases that surround creativity within the environment of organizations and the creative role that the manager must assume as part of an action that is directed towards the field of competitiveness, assuming that the creativity is outlined as a skill that directs this process. The research was based on documentary studies with the description of the elements inherentto it; The collection of information was carried out through the literature review in various sources. Likewise, it was investigated based on an analysis of content in some theoretical positions linked to the behavioral understanding of people within organizations and the treatment given to each of them to creativity; It was also possible to analyze a model of organizational creativity to later connect all these aspects with competitiveness.
