The central approach of the new strategy of power of the North American geopolitics and geoestrategy under the mandate of Donald Trump is to make the United States again great in the world. The country of the North has been the main promoter of the globalization of the world economy, favoring the large North American transnational corporations. However, due to its powerful growth, China became the economic engine of 21st century capitalism, challenging the hegemony of the United States on the world stage. For Trump, the US leadership is threatened mainly by the presence of China, so it poses a "new era of rivalry" based on the geopolitical and contradictory tensions of neoliberal globalization, evidencing the neoconservative and hegemonic character of US policy.
