Resumen
MEDINACELI TORREZ, Rubén. Estudio del impacto del factor "D" en el criterio de rotura de Hoek-Brown sobre los parámetros de resistencia del Macizo Rocoso. REV. MAMYM [online]. 2024, vol.9, n.2, pp.3-10. ISSN 2519-5352.
Abstract The article investigates how the alteration factor "D" affects the strength and deformation parameters in different rock masses. It was found that as the value of "D" increases, the global strength (σcm) and the friction angle (Φ) decrease, with this reduction being more pronounced in poor geotechnical quality rock masses, where strength can decrease by up to 84%. This finding highlights the importance of considering the "D" factor in the design of drilling and blasting in these rock masses, which are highly sensitive to blasting impact. Additionally, it was observed that the modulus of deformation (Em) also decreases with increasing "D", showing a 50% reduction in all analyzed cases. Although this reduction is less pronounced than in global strength, it remains an important factor to consider in rock mass models. In summary, the study emphasizes the significant influence of the "D" factor on the strength and deformation of rock masses, underlining the need to consider this factor in the design and analysis of geotechnical projects.
