Abstract

CAHUANA, Lizardo  and  ADUVIRE, Osvaldo. Trifolium repens “trébol” y calamagrostis sp. “ichu” en áreas mineras abandonadas. REV. MAMYM [online]. 2021, vol.6, n.2, pp.3-13. ISSN 2519-5352.

ABSTRACT In old mining areas, abandoned mining structures and facilities are also known as mining environmental liabilities. These currently constitute sources of pollution, mainly due to the mobilization of metal loading in acid seepage produced by the oxidation of sulfides, and impacting the soil, water and flora surrounding these old facilities. The objective of this work is to evaluate the bioaccumulation of heavy metals in the tissues of terrestrial vegetation, mainly in species such as: Trifolium repens "clover" and Calamagrostis tarmensis "Ichu"; and its relationship with the amount of heavy metals in the soil of the areas surrounding the old abandoned mining facilities. The evaluation of terrestrial vegetation species’ bioaccumulative effect will allow the formulation of remediation and rehabilitation proposals with species of greater distribution and abundance in areas occupied by mining environmental liabilities.

Keywords : Bioaccumulation in vegetables; Adsorption of metals in clover and ichu; Rehabilitation of contaminated soils.
