Resumen

RAMIREZ SERRANO, Beatriz; COELLO VELAZQUEZ, Alfredo Lázaro  y  MENENDEZ AGUADO, Juan María. Tratamiento por flotación del drenaje ácido de mina grande del cobre. REV. MAMYM [online]. 2017, n.3, pp.24-34. ISSN 2519-5352.

For the treatment of the acid drainage of Mina Grande del Cobre located in the Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba, a study is made in flotation columns with the use of potassium amylxanthate as a collector reagent. The research is carried out with the objective of demonstrating the applicability of this technique in the decontamination of these residual solutions that at the moment constitute a focus of environmental contamination. During the development, empirical methods such as sampling techniques, observation, mathematical statistics and factorial design are used. The combination of these methods allows to evaluate the effect of the collector: metal, gas superficial velocity and foam concentration variables in the flotation process. The mathematical-statistical models that characterize the behavior of the elements found in a greater proportion were established. wastewater from the mine. The results obtained allow us to conclude that flotation is an adequate technique for the treatment of acid drainage from Mina Grande del Cobre, its application allows solutions with metal ion concentrations below the maximum admissible values according to Cuban standards.

Palabras clave : acid mine drainage; environment; liquid residuals; ionic flotation; copper amylxanthate.
