Abstract The COVID-19 health emergency, by becoming a global event, put face-to-face education in trouble. Bolivia, a developing country, needs generations to be trained through constant and sustained education, as is objective 4 of the SDGs. This research aims to make an analysis of the current status of virtual courses after two years have passed since the start of the pandemic, the perceptions of university students of the Information Sciences Career, belonging to the Faculty of Humanities, are analyzed. and Educational Sciences - UMSA who necessarily changed from traditional face-to-face education to one hundred percent virtual, for this purpose a questionnaire of closed questions is applied as a research instrument, carried out in the 2020 and 2021 management by crossing statistical data. The Correlational Method is applied to be able to contrast the data collected from university students with the data of other authors and thus evaluate the actuality of the virtual courses. The results obtained show the significant lack of experience in the virtual modality, therefore, if the academic units do not measure the quality and effectiveness of this form of education, there will be consequences in teaching-learning. More than two years after the start of the pandemic, it is time for the authorities that represent education in Bolivia to analyze these results, making decisions that help improve educational quality. This study may be possible by resorting to non-profit organizations such as Quality Matters and the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative, which measure the quality of virtual courses
