Abstract In this paper it describes and analyzes the development of scientific communication, mainly that linked to the university system, through open access indexed digital scientific repositories and journals in Bolivia. For that puprpose, it is based on a descriptive exploratory research. Information was obtained from more than fifty Internet portals has been compiled between the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021. That was the period used from it was analyzed situational status of digital repositories to show the progress of scientific communication
