Abstract Education in universities demands, day by day, more skills of teachers involved with the actual technology and it demands that they use these resources to complement their classes, this being a very innovative option; the intelligent tutoring systems work with the students as a complement to the content of the subject in which the student can learn at his own pace by performing different activities of the basic learning units. These systems have a very structured learning follow-up allowing reports of student learning. This concept was applied in the subject of Language I in the Computer Science Department of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, obtaining excellent results with the students.
