BENAVIDES PAREDES, Miley Vania. Syntactic transformations in the written language of university students. Edu. Sup. Rev. Cient. Cepies [online]. 2018, vol.5, n.2, pp.47-56. ISSN 2518-8283.
Abstract The following research titled, "Syntactic transformations in the written language of university students", was carried out in the Linguistics and Languages Department at Public University of El Alto. The objective was to determine the most frequent syntactic transformations in the written language of university students to propose a textbook of "Castellano L2". This material will be meaningful for university students whose mother tongue is Aymara and for those whose Castellano is a Second Language (Andean Castellano). To obtain the results for this research, the qualitative approach was applied. Likewise, it was based on the descriptive study and non-experimental design of the transectional type. For the universe, seventy five students who were taking Aymara subjects from fifth to ninth semester were considered, of which a non-probabilistic sample of forty people was taken. The technique for data collection was the survey through the questionnaire. In the same way, the analysis was carried out according to four groups of syntactic transformations: duplication, discordance, addition and elision. In this sense, eight of the twelve syntactic transformations were the most frequent ones and, therefore, those are dealt with in the textbook proposal "Castellano L2".
