Abstract This paper studies the relevance of savings in the applied case of Argentina in the framework of behavioral economics. Specifically, it presents a systematic review of the literature on savings-oriented nudges, seeking to contribute to the public policy debate on promoting financial inclusion in Argentina. After studying the absence of related instruments in the local financial sector, public policy recommendations are made to implement nudges through public banking institutions, analyzing the feasibility of their implementation based on the study of the only two financial technology companies (FinTech) that apply nudges to encourage savings
