Resumen

MARCA M., Juan Pablo  y  MAMANI, Rolando. Hegemonic Atrophy: An aging hegemony og the Mas in Bolivia?. Oikos Polis [online]. 2017, vol.2, n.1, pp.143-184. ISSN 2521-960X.

The hegemony of a project or political force will never be a pure victory in time, itwill never be a zero-sum cultural struggle, it will have to do with the balance of political relations of the different actors in the social field. In this way, it lies the importance of explaining the manifestation of this phenomenon, not only by an isolated way, but also by theoretical system that articulates the whole concept. In Bolivia, recent electoral results have not been systematically addressed to explain possible hegemonic atrophy in the Movement to Socialism (MAS). The findings of this article reveal that the results of the referendum of February 21th (2016) do not yet show an organic crisis in the hegemony of MAS, although the beginnings of its hegemonic aging.

Palabras clave : Hegemony; Movement to Socialism; trust and consent; correlation of forces; ruling class; public policies.
