AURORA KEN, Crucita; RIVERO COLINA, Bryan Ángel  e  AY CASTILLO, Lilia Narobi. The agricultural situation of Quintana Roo in the face of technological challenges: a case study. Revista de coyuntura y perspectiva [online]. 2021, vol.6, n.4, pp.105-144. ISSN 2415-0622.

Abstract Faced with climatic, political and social changes, agriculture is affected in its production and harvesting processes. Scientific and technological advances generate changes in agricultural activity, adding another dimension to the daily practices of the poorest regions. This research aims to contribute to the understanding of modern agriculture, to the analysis of its desirability and / or feasibility in less developed countries and regions and to approach the analysis of its economic, social, political and environmental impacts. In this study, the current situation of agriculture is examined in a comprehensive manner because it incorporates economic, social and environmental aspects within the framework of the current technological challenges faced by the rural population. We present the results of a survey that analyses the situation of the rural population and its relationship with agricultural production.

Palavras-chave : agricultural technology; rural communities; subsistence agriculture.
