Abstract
YNZUNZA CORTES, Carmen Berenice and IZAR LANDETA, Juan Manuel. Entrepreneurial intention among young university students. A case study in Queretaro, Mexico. Revista de coyuntura y perspectiva [online]. 2020, vol.5, n.4, pp.161-203. ISSN 2415-0622.
Abstract The research aims to identify the factors that affect entrepreneurial intention in university students. The analysis method used was structural equation modelling (SEM). The results show that entrepreneurial intention is influenced by attitudes, perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurial and business environment exposition. Nevertheless, the effect of entrepreneurship training is indirect and the subjective norm proved to be non-significant. As limitations, the need to build more robust scales to measure training and subjective norm, and to conduct longitudinal studies are noted. The originality of the work lies in the addition of two new constructs to Ajzen's Model (1991): training and exposure to entrepreneurial and / or business environments. The findings reached contribute to the knowledge about entrepreneurship and support the establishment of policies and action strategies aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship.
