Abstract

Abstract Economic science is focused on solving the main problems facing contemporary society; however, it is necessary to recognize that you need a new perspective. The objective of this article is to generate a debate on the possibilities of consolidating a new approach within the economic sciences based on the importance of human well-being and the sustainability of the planet. For the development of the present study, the qualitative paradigm was used for the selection and interpretation of scientific information. The research is theoretical due to the handling of the information it carries out and various methods are used at the theoretical level, such as analysis, synthesis and theoretical generalization. The conclusions point to the need for more practical scientific economic knowledge to be generated and human well-being and sustainable development will be the main measure of development.
