Abstract This article quantifies knowledge spillovers in the services sector of Uruguay. There is strong evidence of knowledge spillovers (KS) in the services sector. In particular, it is found that the contribution of knowledge spillovers to the product is between 6.3% and 7.3%. There is also evidence of the existence of intra-sectoral knowledge spillovers with heterogeneous effects between firms.
