Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze the effects of the Presidential transition in the Mexican economic activity. The period under study covers from 1994 to 2013, in which four Presidential transitions took place: 1994-1995, 2000-2001, 2006-2007 and 2012-2103. It is confirmed the deceleration of the economy in the first year of each Presidential administration, especially in sectors associated with the internal market. Some implications are commented and some Unes of future research are identified.
