Abstract Customs play a crucial role in society and in law, so the changes that can be made within the judicial system must be based not only in legal theory, but also in the reality of our society, through time there have been clear examples of customs that remain until now and that are mentioned in the article, On the other hand, examples of societies that were able to change an almost savage past and that are now interesting models of development are shown, to conclude with some reflections and suggestions for a real change, both in the administration of justice and in society
