Abstract Written constitutions insert provisions in order to, since their entry into force, preserve their normative forced.  These range from express prohibitions to the total or partial change of its contents to the attribution of duties, to certain actors, in the face of the non-observance of the ways foreseen for those changes.  Provisions that find as a presupposition the adoption of a specific conception of time. In this context, we set as a general objective of our study to identify the conception of time prevailing in the Bolivian written constitutions, which came to be valid, through the provisions inserted in them of preservation of their normative force
