Abstract The article is an exploratory study on the imprescriptibility of corruption crimes, for which a balance of values will be used between the principle of equality in the law by treating equals and unequal equals, as opposed to the principles of reasonable term and prescription. It is structured in four parts, the existence of harmonic or opposed constitutional and unconstitutional norms is approached from a theoretical, philosophical and doctrinal approach. Arguments are made regarding metapositive law. From a philosophical approach, the reasonableness of the statute of limitations is verified, in accordance with the principles of equality and reasonable time, to which all defendants are subject, even in corruption crimes.
