Abstract

DE LA ROCHA RADA, Paola Daniela. Multiculturalism, whiteness and the environment. Rev. Jur. Der. [online]. 2021, vol.10, n.15, pp.183-192. ISSN 2413-2810.

Summary: The ideas of multiculturalism and plurinationalism in contemporary Latin American constitutionalism still maintain the modern and western language of human rights. This essay seeks to problematize the section dedicated to the rights of nature of the Ecuadorian Constitution of 2008 and its relationship to a sociological category called "blanquitud" that summarizes the idea of modern and capitalist ethos that is still preserved in the fundamental rights statements in Constitutions such as those of Bolivia and Ecuador.

Keywords : Multiculturalism; blanquitud,; environment; rights of nature; modern language of human rights..
