Abstract The Mexican State, as an international subject, has not complied with the commitments acquired with the signing of the Inter-American Convention to Prevent, Punish and Eradicate Violence against Women. The foregoing, due to the lack of a national normative framework harmonized with the international one, formed by international treaties; due to the lack of applicability of said treaty by the national public administration; and, to a large extent, due to the lack of understanding of the scope and implications of belonging to the member states of this Convention, implications that will be developed in this article
