CANTILLO PUSHAINA, Juan José. The block of constitutionality as a multilevel constitutionalism. A successful benchmark between Colombia and Bolivia. Rev. Jur. Der. [online]. 2021, vol.10, n.14, pp.1-19. ISSN 2413-2810.
Abstract Multilevel constitutionalism is composed of state constitutions and international treaties. They refer to more than one level of protection of rights. Thus, the constitutional bloc concretizes multilevel constitutionalism in Colombia and Bolivia as a criterion of constitutional interpretation and as a parameter of constitutional control of laws. This paper, through an exploratory and deductive method, succinctly describes the constitutional bloc in Bolivia and Colombia. Its objective is to make a comparative overview to answer the following questions: What is the notion and basis of the constitutional bloc in Bolivia and Colombia? Is it a multilevel constitutionalism?
Palabras clave : Multilevel constitutionalism; constitutional bloc; international treaties; human rights; Community law.
