Abstract Characteristic processes of globalization have turned the relationship between ethics, State and Law into a diffuse notion. This article dissertates about the theoretical impact of metaethics on the socio-political resources of the common wellness. As a contrast agent, it is proposed to consider the contribution of the liberal principle arising from classical law and Marxist materialist philosophy. The article concludes by arguing that metaethics corresponds to a breakdown of principles such as the common good, the social contract, the equality of citizens before the State and solidarity citizenship.
