Abstract This article contains an analysis of the possibility of applying the public-private partnership (PPP) modality in state procurement in Bolivia. The analysis is based on the fact that Bolivia is one of the few countries that has not applied this private investment mechanism to state projects. The article contains a reflection on the background of private investments in the country, as well as a review and analysis of the current legal system. The last part of the article reflects on the situation in Latin America with regard to the application of PPPs and finally systematizes the aspects considered necessary for the applicability of this type of state contracts in the country.
