Abstract Political reintegration is an analytical category under construction. Through it, spaces leading to the participation of different armed groups outside the Law to public life have been manifested. In effect, the current Colombian political party, the Independent Social Alliance -whose origins are the disappeared guerrilla group Quintín Lame-, is an example of the polítical-military transition and temporality in situations in which it offers dilemmas of sum in the game of democracy. The present analytical exercise allows, through different dimensions, to reveal in terms of participation, the use of political power and inclusivity as some of its main characteristics.
