Resumen

HUERTAS BARRERA, Teresita Rendón. The integrated interpretation of indeterminate legal concepts. Rev. Jur. Der. [online]. 2016, vol.4, n.5, pp.111-122. ISSN 2413-2810.

Reasonableness in the interpretation of the law is a duty that is not necessarily fulfilled. If the correctness and harmony of legal interpretation is perceived as a sign of legal expertise and integrity, the error is signaled as a transgression or misdirection in the correct application of the norm, in which the valuation and attitude of the interpreter has a lot to say. Knowing when the error occurs does not depend only on the so-called "common sense" or intuition capable of detecting ethical inconsistencies. The idea of a special faculty for such apprehension would constitute a risk by leaving the correct interpretive behavior to the discretion of the interpreter. Forthis reason the purpose of adequate interpretation is the issuance of a reasonable legal decision and, consequently, the protection of the governed against deliberate or random absurdities.

Palabras clave : Legal expertise; interpretation; protection; concept; vice.
