Resumen

SILVA MOLLINEDO, Marcelo. Situation on the statutory process of the Autonomy Guarani Charagua Iyambae Bolivia a multi-ethnic and multicultural country. Rev. Jur. Der. [online]. 2016, vol.4, n.5, pp.67-76. ISSN 2413-2810.

In Bolivia, more than 36 ethnic groups coexist that have lived in their lands since immemorial times (Political Constitution of the State -CPE-). Prior to the 1980s these peoples were ignored because of their physical isolation, linked to the difficult access to the lowlands of Bolivia. As a result of the struggles carried out by indigenous organizations, the peculiar characteristics of the different ethnic groups, including those in eastern Bolivia, are recognized and valued. In 1990, the indigenous peoples of the eastern part of Bolivia held a historic protest towards the seat of government to expose the exploitation they suffered, their deprivations and needs claiming "Territory and Dignity." This protest, made known to the whole nation the values of solidarity, reciprocity, brotherhood, and unity in the struggle for control of their original territories and respect for their dignity as peoples.

Palabras clave : Ethnic groups; indigenous organizations; exploitation; Territory and Dignity.
