Resumen

SEGOVIA, María del Carmen; MAMANI-SANCHEZ, Beatriz  y  NOVA-PINEDO, Máximo. Supplementation of chicken viscera meal in the diet of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the juvenile stage, in San Pablo de Tiquina. RIIARn [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.3, pp.132-137. ISSN 2409-1618.  https://doi.org/https://doi.org/10.53287/wvsg1587zl56e.

The research work evaluated the use of chicken viscera meal (HVP) as a replacement for fish meal (HP) in the juvenile stage of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) at the Tiquina Fish Farm in Lake Titicaca. The rations were formulated using the methodology of Leitritz and Lewis (1980) at 33% protein until pellets were obtained. The feeding treatments consisted of T0 (growth purine, control), T1 (0 % HVP + 100 % HP), T2 (25 % HVP + 75 % HP), T3 (50 % HVP + 50 % HP) and T4 (75 % HVP + 25 % HP), which were applied in each cage of the pond, which contained 200 fish. The variables evaluated were weight gain, mean daily gain, feed conversion, feed efficiency, fish length and the cost benefit of the treatments under study. The results of the experiment showed significant differences for weight gain, average daily weight gain, feed efficiency and feed conversion between treatments, with T4 being the most adequate in relation to the other treatments. In the same way, in absolute values, T4 was the most cost-effective.

Palabras clave : Chicken viscera meal; fish meal; Oncorhynchus mykiss; feed efficiency.
